Your Budget Shopping Guide

Hello fellow shoppers, my name is Kara Lyons and you've arrived at my shopping blog. Make no mistake, I absolutely love to shop and when I'm not working I'm in the city shopping at my favorite stores. Since I shop often, I've learned how to spot the best bargains and I also know the best times to buy certain items. I hardly ever pay full price for anything I buy and I always take advantage of in store coupons and promotions. My love of shopping began when I was little and I would tag along behind my mom while she shopped. When I got old enough to shop for myself, I began to discover ways to get more for my money. If you also enjoy shopping, but you're on a budget, read my blog to learn how you can get the things you want and need without breaking the bank.

Buying Jewelry For Christmas?

by Rebecca Simmons

Have you made the decision to give everybody on your Christmas list a piece of jewelry this year? Perhaps some of the gifts are being sent out of town, and you want small packages that will be easy and inexpensive to mail. If so, jewelry will more than likely be one of your best choices to give. Even if the gifts are going to friends and family members who live right in your own city, the gifts will not only be easy to wrap, but they will probably be very well received when they are opened on Christmas Eve or on Christmas morning. If you are buying jewelry for Christmas, from making your list to shopping for unique pieces, here are some ideas that might help you.

Create A Detailed List - Writing down the names of everybody on your Christmas list will help you to be more organized. It will also help you not to forget anybody. Think of leaving the list somewhere you can see it so that you can add names as you remember them. For example, if you get home from the beauty shop, you might add the name of your beautician.

After doing volunteer work at your child's school, besides your child's homeroom teacher, you might be inspired to add the names of those who work in the school office. And, of course, include names of recipients who will be receiving more elaborate gifts, maybe your mother or your spouse. It might also be helpful to put an approximate dollar amount you want to spend next to each person's name.

Shop With Your List - After your list is complete, think of taking it with you as you venture out to different stores. Remember that you can shop for unique pieces of jewelry at places like gift boutiques and antique shops. For example, at a gift boutique, you might find adorable chunky watches that would be perfect for teen girls on your Christmas list. At an antique store, you might find a brooch or a strand of pearls that your mother might love.

Of course, regular jewelry stores will have a great selection, too. Are there any little girls on your list? If so, think of buying them a locket necklace that can be opened. Are you buying your spouse the watch he or she has been wanting for a while? The jewelry store will more than likely carry exactly the one you want to purchase.
