Your Budget Shopping Guide

Hello fellow shoppers, my name is Kara Lyons and you've arrived at my shopping blog. Make no mistake, I absolutely love to shop and when I'm not working I'm in the city shopping at my favorite stores. Since I shop often, I've learned how to spot the best bargains and I also know the best times to buy certain items. I hardly ever pay full price for anything I buy and I always take advantage of in store coupons and promotions. My love of shopping began when I was little and I would tag along behind my mom while she shopped. When I got old enough to shop for myself, I began to discover ways to get more for my money. If you also enjoy shopping, but you're on a budget, read my blog to learn how you can get the things you want and need without breaking the bank.

Are You Buying Christmas Gifts Already?

by Rebecca Simmons

Are you the kind of individual who absolutely adores the Christmas holidays? Even though fall has just arrived, maybe you are already planning in your head how you will decorate your house for Christmas. Maybe you're even making out menus for Christmas entertainment at your house. And, of course, if you love Christmas, you're probably already making a list of friends and family members who will receive your Christmas gifts.

Because you are also planning to entertain and to decorate your house in a big way, maybe you are shopping for Christmas gifts on a bit of a tight budget. If that's the case, from going to a pawn shop to going to thrift stores, here are some ideas that might help you.

Head For A Pawn Shop - Have you ever even been inside a pawn shop before? If so, you already know that you can find a great variety of items that would be perfect Christmas presents. If you have never been to a pawn shop, you've been missing out in a big way. Take your Christmas list with you and you'll probably leave the store with the perfect gift for everybody on your list.

For example, if you have gals on your list who love jewelry, you'll probably find both fine jewelry and costume jewelry at a pawn shop. Maybe you already know that a family member has been wanting a guitar. You'll probably find one that is in like-new condition. You'll even luck out in the toy department, as there will be everything from dolls to play trains for the kids on your list.

Maybe you're even wanting to get some cash at the pawn shop. Maybe you're willing to sell something like a piece of gold jewelry that you know you'll never wear. If that's the case, remember to keep your pawn ticket so that you can redeem the item if you change your mind.

Check Out Thrift Stores - Do you have friends who tell you that their entire wardrobe items have been purchased at a thrift store? Maybe you'll have the same kind of luck. At a thrift store, you'll probably find everything from a great pair of like-new jeans to a set of crystal goblets. Remember that, even if somebody else didn't want what they took to the thrift store, that doesn't mean that somebody on your Christmas list won't love the gift.

If you have trouble finding what you want in the thrift store, ask a clerk for help. He or she will be happy to help you find individual items or to direct you to the area where you'll be able to just browse for what you want.
