One of the most important features to have on the handle of your safety razor is a textured finish. You'll see this finish on many razors, including those with handles of different materials. The textured finish is paramount to being able to hold the razor firmly while you shave. It's common for your hand to get somewhat wet when you use a razor, and the textured finish will significantly lower the risk that you drop the razor.
