Your Budget Shopping Guide

Hello fellow shoppers, my name is Kara Lyons and you've arrived at my shopping blog. Make no mistake, I absolutely love to shop and when I'm not working I'm in the city shopping at my favorite stores. Since I shop often, I've learned how to spot the best bargains and I also know the best times to buy certain items. I hardly ever pay full price for anything I buy and I always take advantage of in store coupons and promotions. My love of shopping began when I was little and I would tag along behind my mom while she shopped. When I got old enough to shop for myself, I began to discover ways to get more for my money. If you also enjoy shopping, but you're on a budget, read my blog to learn how you can get the things you want and need without breaking the bank.

Look For These Handle Features When You Buy A Safety Razor

by Rebecca Simmons

If you've decided that you want to switch from a disposable razor to a safety razor, it can be fun to browse the internet or local shops to find the latter product. Having a safety razor on display adds a traditional style to your bathroom counter, but you'll want to ensure that you buy a product that offers a high level of function to go with its style. One area of focus to keep in mind as you shop should be the razor's handle. Even though these razors can vary significantly in design, many of them offer these appealing handle features that you'll want to look for.

Textured

One of the most important features to have on the handle of your safety razor is a textured finish. You'll see this finish on many razors, including those with handles of different materials. The textured finish is paramount to being able to hold the razor firmly while you shave. It's common for your hand to get somewhat wet when you use a razor, and the textured finish will significantly lower the risk that you drop the razor. This is especially important if you occasionally shave in the shower.

Thick End

When you look at several different safety razors for sale, you'll often see that the end of the handle is slightly thicker than the main part of the handle. This feature can sometimes be subtle, so make sure to look carefully at any razor you're thinking about buying. A thicker end not only makes the handle of the razor a little more comfortable to hold, but also makes it easier to grip. If the end of the handle were thin, you might find that the razor could slip out of your hand. A thicker end of the handle makes this less likely.

Heavy Weight

One thing that you'll notice when you switch from a disposable razor to a safety razor is that the latter product is heavier. A lot of people appreciate the heavier weight of a safety razor because it feels more substantial in their hands. When you shop for this product, take note of the weight of each handle. If you're shopping in person, you can pick up a few different safety razors and evaluate them. When shopping online, try to find the weight of the product as you browse the product description. Keep these handle traits in mind as you shop for a new safety razor.
